Four Amsterdam pictures

Amsterdam is a city you simply need to visit. You can of course get a feeling and an impression watching pictures such as the four pictures in this article, but the real atmosphere can only be felt as you actually visit the city.

Here you can see four pictures from Amsterdam. The first picture shows a traditional bicycle parking lot in Amsterdam, then comes a picture of a traditional Dutch windmill, one of the many canals in Amsterdam and then a picture of the most famous bridge in Amsterdam, the Magere Bridge.

Enjoy World Cup matches on big screens on Museumplein in Amsterdam

For fans of the Holland team in the World Cup, there is one place to go as the Netherlands play their last match of the group stage leg tonight (against Chile), and also as they continue their way towards the knockout stage afterwards.

The Museumplein in Amsterdam, just between the Van Gogh museum and the Rijksmuseum will be the venue where thousands of people will gather to watch the Dutch team fight their way towards a World Cup trophee. It is worth noticing that it might be that they will move the giant monitors to another area (with more space?!) if the Dutch team keeps winning, so if time arrives later for a semi-final and then a final, you might want to watch the games on another spot. More information on the official I Amsterdam page later on that subject, or maybe also here!

Good luck, and go Holland!

Now is the time to visit Keukenhof 2014

Spring in Holland means time to visit Keukenhof. In 2014 the beautiful and amazing park will be open from March 20th until May 18th. If you come to Holland and to Amsterdam in this period, make sure to visit this incredible park.

Keukenhof Holland

Tulips are beautiful, but when you see them in beautiful order and millions of them together, then you will be simply amazed, and that is what will happen if you visit Keukenhof in this period. To visit the park you could join an organised trip to the park every single day in this period. If that sounds interesting, you can read more about such trips on our Keukenhof day trip page.

Enjoy your trip, and do not forget to bring your camera, because you are about to make some amazing pictures and to bring home memories for life!
