Skating Magic

Ice skating Amsterdam

Well, here’s the winter and the winter is a fun time! What can we do in this time? Build a snowman, win a snowball fight against friends or family or go skiing in the hills. But what can we do if we had to stay in the city? Well, here is the best: ice-skating.

Amsterdam, or the Venice of West Europe, is waiting for the skate-lovers in three smaller skating rinks at Musemplein, Leidseplein and Dam Square.

And if these skating rinks are too small for you, let’s go to the famous Jaap Eden skating rink, which you can visit from 13 October. The Jaap Eden is the biggest skating rink in Amsterdam with an indoor rink, beginner’s corner, 400-metre outdoor rink and a skating disco on every Saturday.

And when the skating rinks will loose their magic, let’s go to the canal! Because the best part of the Dutch winter is when the temperature falls down -4 celsius degree more than four nights, the ice skating adventurer can go to the canal’s ice with their ice-skate. Don’t use the public transport or cars, use the canal!
